M: Cawh
Mama: Dog...

M: Arf! Arf!

Such a laugh trip. It's really about the simple joys. M now interacts a lot more at 15 months. He mimics a lot and just really entertains us to no end. (click read more)

Just the other night, he had fallen asleep in his room while nursing so we had to move him to our room since he sleeps with us. Upon entering, the TV was on and a bit loud so Yaya and I, worried this might wake him, quickly put our fingers to our mouths shhhhh-shing his dad. The next thing we knew, we heard a tiny and long shhhhh coming from Manu and were surprised and utterly amused to see him awake with his tiny finger to his mouth too smiling and saying shhhhhh...

Of course from then on he was wide awake, bouncing off walls, squealing with laughter, running around and playing tag, obviously mistaking our trying to catch him and put him to bed as our wanting to play. Although I have the sneaking suspicious he is the one playing us for fools rather than the other way around. Totally taken I tell you. Cue more squeals of laughter from our little tyke.

We were finally able to put him to sleep with the help of a few readings of Goodnight Moon, Scout and Little Scout - both environmental sounds and lullabies playing simultaneously mind you- but not before amusing us again by suddenly saying, or the word mocking would be more apropos in this situation, 'ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding' to the tune of the Brahmann's lullaby playing.

Such are the joys of parenting. These are the things we live for and the simple thrills we feel unabashedly giddy about. We can't wait to see what he will be surprising us with next.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
